4 Things I Wish I Could Tell My 20-Year-Old Self More Often

As I'm turning yet another year '______' in this ever-changing world today, I wanted to share 4 of my reflections that I wish I could tell my 20-year-old self more often.

1. Give yourself permission. No matter what you think, you will have hundred other things in life that others would want of you. But that may not be what you wish for yourself. So, make sure to make time and pursue what your heart truly desires.

Regret is not only a thing for those in their death beds. It comes pretty earlier than you think it can. And it can poison all that you have in life with its bitterness.

2. Take care of your health. I know you heard this more than anything else, probably, and most likely, you're tuning out yourself from this post to listen to it again. But hear this from me. I thought I would weather everything that life throws at me till I'm really old. But that's a lie that we keep telling ourselves before it's too late. Please take care of your physical, mental, and spiritual health. They are often irreversible.

3. Build meaningful relationships. The world only drives you towards power, money, and all the worldly things that exist between heaven and earth. But whether you want career success, achieve notable milestones in life and become happy, you will have nothing to enjoy if you don't have true friends and families, mentors and coaches, well-wishers, and genuine people around you.

4. Don't worry too much about the future. If anyone tells you that they know what the future holds, they are bluffing. Nobody has a clue. The only thing we should worry about is how we spend our valuable time in the present. How we learn, give, and change daily can write the future tales that are yet to be seen.
